After a weekend of what seems like non-stop church, I should be feeling great. On Top Of The World. But instead I feel tired. Slightly depressed at having to start the week so soon without having had enough rest. Even after I think I've done all the right things.
Things that have encouraged me however:
- Serving with new musicians on Sunday (Suet May was on piano for the first time in Sunday service, Sing Yee was singing for the first time and it was Ed's first time on the guitar on Sunday as well I think)
- Ed's sharing on worship today. It's nice to hear someone sharing passionately about worship and realising that you're going to be working with him for the rest of the year.
- "Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom."
"He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not faint."
A chance sharing with a friend on Thursday from Isaiah 40:28-31 kept me going.
- Lydia's prompt response to my request for video clips from people regarding their thoughts on Christmas. In a CD some more!
- Christmas is coming!

Antioxidants vs Free Radicals
In the medical world, free radicals are deemed harmful to the human beings. Due to its unstable and highly reactive nature, it accelerates the progression of many ghastly problems.
Such as wrinkle-faces which every lady in general fears!
For example:

So, what's here to save the day??? Antioxidants!! It prevents the oxidation process, which generates free radicals. It's like the... 21st century Youth Potion!
Jon probably wouldn't want me to elaborate too much on antioxidants, since antioxidants sort of antagonise what he's trying to advocate - be unstable, be reactive with God.
Well, girls, sacrifice something once for God alright?
I know, a silly post. But i'm just trying to have some fun! :p

Why Free Radicals?
"These unpaired electrons are usually highly reactive, so radicals are likely to take part in chemical reactions."
"Radicals play an important role in combustion, atmospheric chemistry, polymerization, plasma chemistry, biochemistry, and many other chemical processes, including human physiology."
- Wikipedia :-)
Unpaired, but needing each other.
Because alone, they are ineffective, unable to carry out their purpose.
Their God-given purpose.
Much like us.

Why blog?
This blog is a platform for us to:
- what God has been speaking to us
- share our thoughts
- our ideas on various things connected to student fellowship
- what's been going on in our lives recently
- interesting stuff we've been reading, Bible-wise or other books
- prayer requests
If everyone is willing to post once in a while (not too long a while haha), no one will feel under pressure to blog often to keep this blog going.
Eventually we might invite more people from SF to blog here, but for now lets start small with the core people, and encourage one another first:-)
